Just goes to show you how far the media goes in distorting the truth. Not to hard to believe there are people out there that only believe what their media feeds them, I see some of them posting here all the time.

Yeah, but what media? I have worked with people who believe the moon landings were faked out at Craters of the Moon National Monument. Where did that come from? It sure isn't in most media. Even Rush wouldn't be that stupid (well, maybe he would, but not everybody would).
Not the media. Its just too many WANT to believe there is a conspiracy. These people spend there entire life as a zealot doing nothing but ignoring the truth and the facts that back up the truth. And the moment they hear of another conspiracy theory, they jump on that, by rehashing the same rhetoric all the other theorists spout, with none of them really understanding what they are talking about. They are just reading from the script giving to them. And of course once you have backed them into a corner that they cannot get out of with the facts, they say 'How can you be so niave?'. I see it every day. Sad. Very sad.
Oh, and notice that the leaders of a conspiracy theory always have a book or video to sale about the conspiracy. What does that tell you?
they are just still sore about WWII ;)
The news is controlled?
Do they know that we sent reporters with most major groups.
I mean, they saw first hand what was going on.
I don't understand.
Course, that was for people under 19.... who knows anything at 19?
That's hilarious...but you are absolutely right...all these nuts have a conspiracy theory to sell.
As for 19 year olds that believe this...I just finished a summer sociology class full of kids (I'm 33) and yes, they knew/know absolutely nothing about what was/is going on in the world today...They gave the most rediculous rationalizations, and explainations for most current events that I should have called Ripley's or the Guiness (sp?) Book of Records. I was amazed at how out of touch, and misinformed a generation could be (I'm not speaking of all generation y'ers, just these individuals in my class).
Yep. What is the most hilarious is that these people can only rationalize this whole ordeal with "Its about oil!" even though Iraqi oil is really a tiny percentage of world oil and what we get. We dont need Iraqi oil. But they refuse to believe that. It is the easiest rationale they can find without succumbing to actual thinking.
Its mostly out of ignorance and fear that they believe such things. It really is ashame that seemingly intelligent people actually believe these kind of things.Quote:
