hello everyone.....
i was hoping if anyone here knows port programming in vb.net
now hereis what i have, i have a text box, called textbox1.
now when the phone rings i want the number of the caller to be displayed on the textbox.
does anyone know how to go about that.......
At first you should check if your modem is caller ID capable. There are some AT commands that may help you to find out that but not the same for all modem. If your modem is caller ID capable then you may be able to get the calling number with AT commands. So all you need is building an interface that mimics Hyperterminal by which you will be able to connect to the modem without the user being noticed.
