Graphics card
Friend of mine is getting a dell (dude, that's awsome)
Wants to know what is best deal for her graphics card.
-64MB DDR NVIDIA_ GeForce4 MX™ (420) Graphics Card with TV-Out (standard)
-64MB ATI All-in-Wonder® 9000 Pro [add $80]
-New 128MB GeForce FX 5200 Graphics Card with TV-Out [add $50]
-New 128MB DDR ATI RADEON™ 9800 Graphics Card with TV-Out and DVI [add $130]
This will mostly be used for at-home VB programming and general home use. The games will be for her son who will be using it for games in the 5-10 yr old range. So some stuff, but top-of the line isn't required.
Any thoughts? I'm thinking the standard should be fine, but the guy at the computer store said to be sure and get a GeForce with the MX number over 420. (I don't know, I wasn't there)
I'm partial to Raedon myself, but $80 is significant as opposed to $0.
A link to a hardware rating site would be great too!

She wont need anymore than that. Would better to put that extra 80$ into something like more memory.

I would get the ATI All in Wonder. It has a TV Tuner so you can watch tv on it.
-
You can also watch TV on your TV.
Waste of money unless she plans on capturing video.

I might go with this one.
New 128MB DDR ATI RADEON™ 9800 Graphics Card with TV-Out and DVI
But it's not necessary for you and I think CANDER is right.
