CPU? FAN? MOTHERBOARD??
now im in dyer need of some help ...i have a problem and ive narrowed it down to either the cpu or the motherboard ..what the prob is is the computer starts but when it reaches a certian heat eg around 48 degrees it slows right down ..and makes a siren noise ..is this becos of the heatsink and fan or is this summit more sinister ??

Try checking BIOS for any setting for 48 degree temp.
Also if you can then try changing the heat sink with a better fan and see what happens.
Changing CPU and MOBO is not the first option.

You may want to just reseat the heatsink, in other words take it off clean it up a bit and put it back on. If a heatsink isn't making proper contact then it will not work very well.
