javascript between browser windows

Hi

Wondering if anyone could help me.

I am creating something similar to a mail application. The user clicks on a link, which brings up another window with a list of email addresses, similar to yahoo, hotmail, etc. The user will check email addresses and then submit. Now, I want to insert the checked email addresses into the previous window without having to refresh it. Is there a way to do this?
