8GB's memory! whoohoo!
Its not the first 64-bit one  Sun and SGI have had them out for years and years.
Yeah i dont know way they are saying that. Like you said Sun and SGI have had 64bit processors out for years.
"The world's first 64-bit personal computer"
They didnt say the worlds first 64bit chip or computer. We are ot talking about servers and workstations.
The Indy2 was perfectly usable as a personal computer *shrug*
Well so are most work stations, but they just are not marketed and priced competively for the general consumer market.
I mean, would you have your grandmother use an SGI dual processor workstation?
There are 3 base models of the G5. The first too would be consumer class while the third is more workstation oriented being a dual processor. Again, granny doesnt need dual processors. :D
I would struggle to get my grandma to use any kind of computing device, she has enough difficulty with her CD player :)Quote:

At least she's not dangerous. The dangerous ones are those who throw up 10 of their own DHCP servers on various floors of a building, all serving up the same block of addresses. Mayhem! :eek:Quote:

Hey what are these new G5 cases made out of? It looks like they switched from the plastic cases the G4's had to rolled stele cases. Im not too sure if i like the new look though. The front grate looks like it would collect a lot of dust in the little holes.
Thats Apple. Always form over function.
