Hey guys...
Do you all know about 3D engines... I mean, if there are any for VB6? I've looked into the Genesis3D engine, but that is for C/C++/QuakeC and the ActiveX control for VB6 costs $40! $40 US! So anyway, do you guys know any?

Go for TrueVision at
http://francis.dupont.free.fr/coinde...ish/index.html
It's free
try looking at the 3D engine at
http://www.goodnet.com/~andrewa/vbas...prometheus.htm
I've got no idea how to use the TrueVision DLLs, and Promethius doesn't have the features that I need (bsp import,alphablending,3dsmax import,direct3d,hardware,and maybe glide)
I dont think that $40 is that much for a good 3d engine(especially for the features you want), but maybe you could find it somewhere for "free" to decide if it is what you need.
Yeah, but TrueVision is FREE and I don't know how to use it!!! :(:( -SOB- -SOB-
(plus it has all of the features I need!)
Does anybody have a tutorial on implementing the DLLS? I just keep getting errors, unfortunately.
But who knows, when it comes down to it, I might just make my own 3D engine.... By the way, did you know that a scaled-down version of 3DStudio MAXX is now FREEWARE? It's called XmaXX and they've taken away some of the minor options!
I downloaded truevision and some samples and they run fine on my Win2000 Adv.Server
Search the web for Eye3d. It's written in VB and it's open source. It really rocks.
