No they can't, but I hear laptops can :p
Sorry, sorry, couldn't resist. I haven't heard of send-ins, but I have heard of trade-ins and upgrades when you're buying it.
*Snicker* :p Yeah ive heard of trade-in's but not send-in's.
Yes you can upgrade them, but the manufactorer are not responsible if you you do anything wrong with it. But if you contact the manufactorer you can probably uprade RAM, and the HD, but I am not 100% sure with the CPU, but maybe. Try and ask...
They are upgradable to a certain level...But as noteme said contacting the manufacturer or dealer will give u more info about its terms and condition and not following it will cause ur waranty to go away...
Cheers...
It really depends on the laptop's design. Most laptops nowadays are modular, so you can upgrade as far as the model is designed for.
IE: my Inspiron 8200 has a P4-m 1.6, but I can take that out and stick a faster one in (though I wouldn't really want to try). I can also replace the GF2Go DDR with NV17 or something...
RAM is usually the easiest upgrade, followed by HD.
Though I guess you could argue buying a DVD/CDRW modular drive and sticking it in is the easiest "upgrade"...
Yeah of cours it depends on what kind of laptop you have. I have a DELL with multibay, and when my PC is off, I can just pull out HD, CD, 3,5" in a sec. And the RAM is on the underside and are not harder to fix. But I would not try to touch my CPU at all....
