an mpeg file can't do that.
unless it was a sneaky .mpg.exe or something. which isn't an mpeg file.
Any file extension can potentially contain a virus.
The MPG file has probably been renamed to make it seem as if it's a movie, but in XP Home&Pro, it doesn't matter. It will try to open the file in the best program it feels will suit it!

I know that stuff guys and nothing happened like what you said . The movie is running , before it ends , it runs a webpage linked to the site . So , since it can run IE , it's probably run any other exe .
Upload it...
I'de like to take a look. I have a system dedicated to virus detection, so it won't harm any other system here. :)

man it's 10mb . Secondly , it's not a virus but I was wondering if it might hide internal virus or even can run batches itself .that's the matter . If you haven't seen such that before then you're lucky maybe .;)
I have had the same thing happen to me. i was watching a clip that i downloaded and then a website launches. they are not viruses but prolly a means of advertising.
Well , I'm sure it's not a virus but likely to run any patches or evil things . As it can run IE , it's possible to run other exe I think .
I Think that they are limited to launching urls so if you had netscape as the default browser it would goto that URL
