It says it's 8:41, though it's really 4:41 (EST, GMT - 5).

I believe they are currently trying to fix a problem involving Daylight Savings Time for the West Coast of the US, so hang in there for a bit.
The forum settings are all correct. I've again asked the system administrators to check the actual time on the server machine.
Brad
Okay, final answer is that vBulleting does not support daylight savings time. You an adjust your profile time setting to get the correct time.
Brad
(who resides in Indiana where daylight savings is not observed.... ;) )
When does the time changes on GMT , cause there is still a difference of 2 hours where our time range is GMT +1
The time now is it GMT or GMT +1 ???Quote:
All times are GMT +1 hour. The time now is 04:11 PM.
It is a bit confusing.
What time is it over there ?????
this is the 3rd server that runs this forum that I have seen that the servers clock is half an hour or hour fast. are we sure it is the server and not the forum software?? quite a coinsidence that is happends on 3 servers that I have seen.
Actually, we believe it to be the forum software. We believe that the current version of vBulletin doesn't support daylight savings.Quote:

I find it hard to believe that after these many years it just comes apparent... ;)
My assumption is that the Jupitermedia admins have talked to the vBulletin guys. I'll follow up on this.Quote:

Daylight savings time will be fixed in version 3.0 of vBulletin. Until then, the easiest thing to do is adjust your setting by an hour.
Do you have any info on what the planned changes are? Search could sure be improved!
Betas of vBulletin 3.0 have been made public. There are a ton of enhancements that include items like personal ratings (which is a big issue on www.CodeGuru.com 's forums. Threaded messages are another big feature. I believe it will be a great upgrade when it finally becomes available.
Brad!
I think its more than just daylight savings because I have it on Pacific (I'm in CA) and it says it is now 9:13 am instead of 2:13 pm. Which is a bit more than an hour. It doesn't seem like its always been like that either, seem like a recent change.

Finally, someone else has noticed!
Its been that way since june 19th!
Time Warp
I was on the site that day, then at about 11:00 am, went to refresh ChitChat, and I got a Site Unavailable message!
Within an Hour I was able to get back to VBForums, but the Time was all wacked!
Soooooo, I posted that thread, and No one, ABSOLUTELY not a single person, seemed to have noticed the time issue!
Now, Brad, or any PTB, any ideas?
:)

I'll make sure that Brad sees this.

same in the UK (GMT+1 with daylight-savings)
I missed this..., however, I was out last week. Regardless, I've made a change. Let me know if your time is off still by more than an hour. My time is now showing correctly.Quote:

yes I know, I am on the west coast. what I said was a sarcastic range. I have been on servers where it was 45 minutes to this one 5 hours, it all varies. but I meant it isn't the daylight savings change that did it. but in fact the server itself.Quote:

but the question is, is the board fast or is it slow?? :)
the time is now right for me :)
I thought I was just crazy because it seemed that everyone else talked about Daylight Savings being the problem so I assumed they were only an hour off, so I didn't post at first. Its all better now though. Thanks.
It is now showing the correct west coast time.
Spot On!
Thanks, Brad!
