I am having problems trying to run the P&D when I try and install my app. It has worked on other machines but keeps coming up with all sorts of errors when ot is trying to get vb6stKit.dll installed. I have tried regsrv32 to try register it manually but it keeps telling me it is corrupted and that it is still running.

when you create setup files via P&D, it attaches all required dll files including vb6stKit.dll
SO just create a setup file via P&D, and install the application in any machine. It should work.
You have another option is that, download the vb runtime and make your vb project as a exe file and just install the runtime and your exe rurns there. But if you have used any addtional dll or ocx, you need those to in the cuurent folder of your exe file or in the system folder.

I have created the Install through P&D and that is what is freaking out. I have also run the vbruntime files but no good. And i have tried to register it manually but it says that it is corrupt or in memory.... restarted, removed it replaced but nothing
The OS installed on that system may be corrupted or may have virus probs. so better reload the OS. It is because..... a vb program generated as a exe file must run in a system that has a vb runtime. also check the version of the runtime and you vb program.
Is this problem affecting only one PC? If so then it is safe to say that something is wrong with that box. If it is affecting several PCs then you have to consider that your distribution is getting corrupted when sent to those machines. What deployment method are you using? CDs, Floppies, Download, Push Install, etc.?Quote:
