A:/ Drive
Hi, I know this isn't the right place but maybe someone knows this.
I think there must be some virus on my drive.
When i put items on a floppy and use them on the same machine I can access, read write delete them .
If I put the floppy on another machine there is nothing visible.
The machine even tells me the floppy hasn't been formatted yet and it should be.
If later without having it formatted i insert it on the machine where it was filled with files i can still access those files ?
Weird hugh, someone with an answer to this, cause i need this drive constantly , but cannot access the floppy's on other machines.

Probably a ****ed floppy drive on the other machine.
Try looking at the contents of the floppy on other computers.
-
I'd put that down to wear-n-tear on the drive. If the head alignment or other physical things are a bit off, then the drive will probably read its 'own' diskettes, but since they're not written correctly in absolute terms, they're bad in other drives.
-
Can you recommend any workaround to reset those contents so i can still use the drive ?
Cause in short time it'll be the only drive I can place my work on, but when added files can't be read by the ones receiving my floppy's it will look like i've put nothing on them.

I Would suggest..
purchasing a head cleaner for your floppy disk drive.... otherwise purchase a whole new drive. you could probably pick up an off brand name drive for about 45$
-
$45? *** is the appropriate acronym here.
They go for the equivalent of $10 here.
-
Yes, it shouldn't cost more then $15, I can buy one over here for €12
