Hard question about access of file and task management

Hey guys!

I would like to know if its possible to do that using just VB...
I dont have at least an idea of how to do it using vb... So I dont know what to look for.. =-(

1- Do you know the task scheduler (I think that is the name)? It is an white/red/blue icon that represents the program... Theres a way, using vb code, to add a task to this application? I just know how to add a task to it mannually.. =(

2- Theres a way in vb to do something like it (I will try to make it simple):

--> You open any file, for example... ICQ... Then when you click it 2x to open it, your application send a msgbox telling it "You opened Icq.exe" . The applicattion just make a msgbox with the name of the file that you are accessing/executing... Is there a way to do it with VB?

Any particular reason you want to know how to add a task programatically ?

In fact, I think you'll only get help if you first declare your intentions.

Well, my reasons about the task scheduler are 2:

-> I love it being doing automatically since I saw the norton antivirus doing it in my comp.

--> And second, i think is better you spend cpu processor with something that already exists in windows, than you create a code with timer, as I did, to check the hour everytime to know if its time to make the download of a database of my clients. Mainly because I cant be there with them, all the time that they will make an installattion... =-) Its just a better way that I found to make my app execute something in sometime.. =-)
Not a big deal...

And for the last thing that I asked, its because I realized that I nor even know how the antivirus enterprises made theirs antivirus to work with instant access of file... I would like to make something like it (not an antivirus), but a group of applicattions that work together, and know when the user have opened one or other....I would like to make an total integration... This last code is more to me put in my code bank...I dont intend to use it right now... maybe next month... Just to study more about the case... =-)
