If you have issues with having to register it, email me ;);)
i used JCreator..really well made and don't have to worry about 'regestering' cause they have a free version that's good enough. it works really well, no nag screens. and great options.

I have tried out the following editors
1) VIM (VI improved) on Windows. This is a cool editor.
Freeware. You can do everything, but the downside is that you need to be really familiar with the original vi editor available in Unix.
2) EditPlus. Another cool editor. (Shareware). You can set up compilers and it compiles. Syntax files creation is a problem
Nag screens on share-ware versions. However the nagscreen is displayed only once. Files are reloaded if someone else changes them.
3) Textpad. Similar to Editplus as above. Syntax files creation is not a problem. Nag screens are displayed as and when you feel like it. You can configure keystrokes according to your favorite application.
4) RealJ. Freeware. Only does java classes. Very limited scope.
Take your pick.
Cheers!

Another good one is ConText.
Handles various languages, color coding, line numbering, tabbed open files, etc.
I have an EditPlus Java syntax file with all classes from 1.4.1
I use JCreator, just because they told us so at school. But it's quite good and easy to work with.
I used TestPad, I like it when the codes get coloured so you know what you are exactly typing

Could you please mail that to me?Quote:
