Receiving Excel cell values

Hai Everybody,
I have a problem in receiving selected excel cell values to my application . Let me explain my problem in brief....

When opening as excel file, a default cell will be selected in each sheets(Default three) of the opened file.
Qn.1) Is there any way by which we can make the default cell is not selected in each sheet while opening.

In my application i want to collect the selected cells in each sheet.
Qn.2) How should i collect the selected cells in the second sheet(Assume that i want to select only those cells), but in the first and third sheets i have a default cell selected.
I want to collect only the cells selected in the second sheet but not the default cells selected in the first and third sheet.

If anybody, have a solution to my problem. it is highly thank ful.
