Should i just skip learning old ASP and jump right into ASP.net?
I would skip old ASP if you are not going to be supporting old apps. ASP.Net is just so much better.

Do all servers that support the old ASP also support ASP.net or does it require a special install aside from the .net framework?
I am not sure, I think all that is needed is IIS 6.0 and the .Net framework installed.

If i buy VB.net Pro does it come with the .net framework that i can distribute?
You can distribute it, but it is 20+ MB in size. Not an ideal solution. Thankfully, on MS's Windows Update site they have it available for your customers to download and install it themselves.

Also what are some Some really good begginner and advanced ASP.net and VB.net books that talk about DB programming with ADO.net?
I haven't found any really good books yet myself. I have found this place though:
www.learnvisualstudio.net
I recommend you buy the gold membership and watch those videos before buying any books. You may find that you won't even need to buy any books. I wish I would have gotten those videos before I bought any books, it seems that the money I spent on books is a waste.
