merhaba

a blue screen

hi there,I have to reset my comp. because it now has a blue screen .we reset it five times but it does not work..all we hear is a" windows start up sound" and thats all..safe mode does not work either...using "emercency disket" we wrote A:\ chckdisk and it said " nothing to repair"

so now please help us to get rid off this problem..

How would he do that? NOTHING WORKS!!!!

merhaba, what do you mean by 'reset'? How about reinstalling Windows (and an OS other then ME)

I worked for a computer store, and we tested for viruses on a lot of computers that didn't want to start up. He could use a Norton Antivirus boot up CD for a start...;)

I have win ME on my laptop, and have never had to restart that machine for 1,5 years now....:D

You have to remember...

All OS's are crap unless you know what you're doing! Windows 98 / Me / XP are GR8.

NoteMe's right... you can check for viruses without booting into an OS, thats the whole idea of a virus checker :rolleyes:

I would suggest removing all the cards from your system and try re-booting Me. Stands a chance it's a driver fault rather than a hardware problem. Just leave your GFX card plugged in... unless it's On-board, in which case, you'll have no choice :p

If it's boot's... shut it down... and re-start WITHOUT ANY CHANGES! Windows Me checks registry entries on boot, which only applies on a restart and not on a cold boot.

Keep adding cards (ONE BY ONE) until it crashes. The last card you inserted.. is crashing the system. Simply remove all the drivers for that card, and try re-installing it. If it still refuses to work, I suggest you have the card replaced or at least checked by a pro.
