Cool. I've ran the beta and it's decent - I like some of the emulations when you switch to user stylesheet mode. I still like Phoenix the best, though.
Yeah I thought those style-sheets were pretty good too. You're right Gecko is definately better in a lot of areas (although Opera seems better at certain CSS).
I don't use software with ads built in, and I don't pay for browsers... ;)
Heh, I actually don't mind the ads - if it helps them make money and carry on buiding their browser it doesn't bother me. As long as I don't have to pay for it. Plus I think it's a bit different with Gecko - they have AOL backing them!
So what browsers do you use? And don't say IE because you paid for that.Quote:

I use Phoenix...
Good, so do I :)
Phoenix est le meilleur des browsers ;)
I prefer Mozilla because of some of the extra features, like the site navigation bar, and the mail client. But Phoenix is great if you don't want that.
I still use Netscape 4.7 as my mail client... :(
It's probably a bit insecure now isn't it? The mail client in one of the Mozilla nightlies is pretty good as it now comes with a junk mail filter, although I haven't really had any junk mail to test it, but I've been told it works really well :p
Not really that insecure, as far as I know I'm still new enough (4.77) to not be affected by any of the security holes (and MS Lookouy/Lookout Express has been far worse). I've used Mozilla for Usenet and such, but I'm too lazy to bother switching to a newer email client (hundreds of archived messages). I'd like to write my own 100% text based email client some time, though.
In which language? C++?
Most likely Perl, I think, maybe using Tk.
Oh right. So would it be an online thing you mean? Or under Linux (can you use Perl as a "proper" programming language?)?
No, either a CLI app or if I use Tk I'd could do a cross platform GUI app. Perl is a very full featured languages with a great library of functionality, and it runs on anything, it's just not compiled.Quote:

Opera 7 serious security flaws

Which have now been fixed - Opera version 7.01 ;)
What took them so long :D
Heh, yeah they're very quick aren't they? Said 5 days after it was reported. :eek: How long has it been since IE 6 was released? SEems like a couple of years ago now, but maybe that's just me being impatient.:p
