Why (at least on my screen) does the header not make it all the way to the right of the screen? My guess is that there's some garble there from the ad when it doesn't appear, but any one with any design or web programming experience would know how to make that not appear when the banner doesn't.
So what's the excuse?
Okay, there's some kind of scripting working going on that's telling it whether to output "empty.gif" and blank ad or a real ad.
Since this is a PHP page, I'm guessing you're using PHP. So why not simply output: "<td></td>" or fix the whole table using 'colspan="2"'
It's simple HTML/PHP. Ask your people about it, Brad. Because it just looks really goofy, and, if you ask me, using an empty GIF is just plain tacky. Why not eliminate the need for it?
Just suggestions with good intentions.
