Can i just ask, wots the gradient going to be used for tho?
It's just a test. I've always found gradients to be too harsh (they are supposed to make things look round, however since they are LINEAR gradients they are just slopes, thus the problem), so I made a gradient that uses the cosine of 90 or 180* of a circle to calculate the colour. The linear distribution method uses 180*, the odd/even use 90* from two different parts of the circle (depending on whether it's even or odd). I think it looks better than linear, don't you?
The first one looks quite good but it all depends on what you would need it for.
It depends what you use it for! I can't see any difference except for some of them having different slopes or something... but if it's to simulate the slope of a circle... yeah, I like the third one (the 2nd doesn't look bad too) ;)
