Winforms Validators

In a VB.NET Windows Application are there any controls that work like the validator controls available to ASP.NET pages?

Could I use an 'imports' statement or something to use the controls?

I have just finished a course in VB.NET and I found that the validation controls available to ASP.NET pages are quite useful.
