Slow EXE
I am having an exe(3 MB) containing 32 forms. Another exe(50 MB) containing 230 forms. The first exe is working fine and fast. The second exe is very slow to work even the program logic and controls used in each form is same as the forms in the first exe.
What can i do to speed up the second exe? Thanks for any help.

230 Forms are really pushing VB's limits
How many forms do you have loaded at one time?
-
230??!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...you're taking the piss right? Hahahahaha. Sorry.
50Mb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hahahahahahaha
And you wonder why it is slow!?
Do you have VERY large pictures in picture boxes in your forms?
Have you ever thought about breaking your app up into many different little ones??? Of making it multi tier?

If they have the same controls and logic, why are they separate forms? Couldn't you use the same form (for some at least) with an option to change the label captions etc?
-
so its a calendaring software with a form for each weekday right? (jk)

Thanks for all replies. I 've planned to split my application to several exes.

How the hell could you use 230 forms ?
I'm guessing they must be MDI...

whats wrong with MDI forms?
-
Awwwww....not again :(
Thing we should have a fixed thread about not using MDI forms and bound controls :D
Do a search in VB Forums for:
"MDI Forms" AND Woka
:D
