Quick question (I hope) for you guys..
I'm working on a dialog app with a DAO recordview. I'm trying to put some custom logic in the events for the next/prev/last/first. So I add to View::OnRecordFirst/Next.. etc.. my logic works when the panes are clicked, but then the recordset move no longer works. I'm afraid I'm overriding the functions of the pane. Any ideas? Is there a better place to stick this code (no smart@ss comments..<G>)..
Do you call the base implementation? Or don't you want to? If so, does your replacement work? Have you run the debugger?
It's a CRecordview. So, I put it in the view. My choices are Doc, Set, View, and MainFrm. Is Set a better place? When I take my code out, First, Next, Previous, and Last work again.
You don't seem to have understood my questions. Is your code actually updating the info or do you ONLY do your special processing?
Yes, I have run the debugger. Nothing fires when I click the panes. All I want to do is clear a list box when the recordset scrolls. It's looking like Recordset::Move may be the place to do this....? If so, how do I get a handle back to the view to clear the list box?
