.net with win98

Well ,I tried to run an exe(of .net application) on win98.
But it was giving me '.net initialization error' saying set registry key.
But when i tried to set registry key i couldn't do it.
Can anyone tell me what to do about it!

Do you have the .NET framework installed on that machine? Reinstall the .NET Framework, thats what I would do. Also get the patch for it from Windows update, I just put the patch on my laptop.
