a peruvian llama got to it?
I got it, I got it.... you're pressing the wrong button:D
umm does it turn on at all? or it just doesnt boot? if it doesnt boot then maybe it's something about the cimos battery? no idea, just guessing:confused:
Do you know for a fact that it doesn't boot? Connect it to an external monitor... the screen might be busted. Happened to my laptop; still waiting to find out where I can get something like this fixed (not busted screen, but so dark its unreadable).
no it definately isn't the screen. I got it working once or twice, but it kept BSOD'ing. When I turn it on and it does nothing, it really does nothing. There's no HDD activity that I used to be able to hear or anything.
I guess I'll look for that battery.

1.) leave in hot or cold places too long?
2) leave it in an area with lots of dust?
3.) ever drop it?
I think laptops have more battery problems that pc's do (cmos better). If it randomly works, then it's probably the battery. I payed $40 for a stupid old laptop's cmos battery once, I guess they're expensive
if you don't use a laptop for a while, always drain the batteries and take them out.
even the Smart Li-ION ones
even the cmos battery?!! :D
