1. Nothing besides the obvious
2. No, but you should remove any motherboard-specific drivers (VIA 4in1)
Do i have to go into the Bios and change the master and slave?
The BIOS is different on the new motherboard, remember. All the settings will need to be recreated as you want them.
I'd advise reinstalling Windows anyway, it copes much better.
what if i don't wanna reinstall windows? are there any things I need to do in order to make it like before?
As posted by Siyan, delete all the motherboard-specific drivers.
It might not be a bad idea to delete all the drivers and let the Plug & Play logic reinstall them.
If you do not have a lot of application software installed, it might be easier to reinstall the OS, and then reinstall the application software.
I sympathize with you about reinstalling the OS. I avoid it when possible. I have a lot of applications installed, whihc area pin to reinstall. I also have made some minor tweaks to the OS, which I will miss if I do not redo them.
After the 5th time you've installed it, getting everything back as you want it is surprisingly easy :)
Yes, especially after the 500th time! :DQuote:

I've lost count how many times I've installed various flavours of Windows. Surprisingly, I only ever did 3.11 twice :D
