Doesn't anyone think it's a little bit ironic that VBForums uses PHP serverside scripting...?
Why?
I think he means why doesn't it use VBScript.
He probably means ASP.Net
I think VB World has moved to ASP.Net already (probably thanks to Karl the Great ;))
And I think since VB Forums uses vBulletin which is a ready-made software for bulletin boards, there's precious little that can be done about the use of PHP. You would be without all these cool features for a year or two if Karl decided to develop a similar package in ASP.Net!
.
Because it's the best tool for the job, and that's what John used when he originally developed it.Quote:

.html was the extension right at the start. The whole .htm thing was because of DOS's inanity.
You know I'm joking here, right?Quote:

Not really, no.
But it's late and I'm tired.
Sorry. I am going to start labeling my "jokes."Quote:

Yeah okay, I guess that it is vBulletin, which uses PHP. I was just a little surprised that, excluding the obviousness of the forum system, the site didn't utilise its preached serverside language.
And that doesn't mean VBScript on the clientside, ya daft - but funny - fools...
Because they are using a prebuilt forum. This forum solution is used all over the net.
It started here though, it was written for VB-World.
