1 - I think a DataSource must be a RecordSet object, or a DataEnvironment.

2 - Try

Text1.Text = rs!name & ""

dim rsDatasource as recordset
set rsDatasorce = new Recordset

data1.rsdatasource.open = "select * from aa"
