well, it is a document about Trading Agents Competetion(TAC),
and I met this expression/formular(whatever you call it) with this function "arg min(......)" I can't type it here exactly cos some of the characters are just not on the keyboard. Any idea what
"are min" means?
Well, Arg(z) returns the principal argument of a complex number z.
If z = x + iy, Arg(z) = tan-1(y/x).
Sorry if you knew that anyways, but if not I hope it helps...
um.... I think "arg" plays a different in our cases, mine is all about integer calculation so it is not way that complex number will get in... But thanks for your help.
What is principal argument?
Post a screen shot, by doing the following:Quote:

1) With your app open, and this "arg min" thing visible, hit "Print Screen"
2) Open "Paint" Under Accessories, assuming you have it and its similarly located.
3) Hit "Edit -> Paste", and say "Yes" if it wants to enlarge the bitmap
4) DO a "Save As", and select *.gif. Name it something, store it somewhere simple.
5) Come Back Here, Post a reply to this thread, and attach the .gif you just created.
This way, we can see exactly what you're talking about.
yeah, good Idea, there goes my screen shot of "Arg min" function
