Database file

Here is my problem:

I tried these functions (from 1st reply) and they worked well but were too slow and I was wondering if there was any reasons for this or if it's normal.

I tried it on a 156k .mdb (access database file) and took be 34 seconds for encrypting it. Same amount of time, of course, for decrypting it.

Any ideas? Do I have to find another solution or should encrypting been done quicker than that?
