I'm working 6 days a week, 11-12 hours a day. I have had my 1 day holiday cancelled 3 times, the latest being next Friday's holiday, where i have a 3 day trip to Marrakech cancelled, costing me £500 in flights, no refund from the airline nor from Sumitomo Bank. I have to work over Xmas too. I am hugly stressed and not overly enjoying it.
but the pay is fooking great, so whaddyado?
Anything else on the go for you?
All being well, the next project the company is getting, is state side for a rather large company. if they get it (which looks likely) gonna be working over there for a couple of months. which is ideal for me :D
Just bought myself a digi-camera as well :)
You are a techno junkie Ian :)
'ullo Big Al !
I certainly am :)
which mean that working on totehnam court road is a fooking nightmare for me :D
Working in teh States? Welcome to office politics city, where the more important thing is the discussion, not the work. And welcom to the most fustrating period of your working career. You WILL look at this thread when you start and go"OMG, he's soooo right..."

more than likely, But thats why we have a bloody good project manager who takes all the flak off us :D
no chance of beer anytime soon then mate ?
May be able to, but not until next fortnight I reckon.... can you get the guys at galah on too?
Already spoken to ranj about it and as usual he's up for it, shouldn't be hard to pursuade duncan and crispin as well :)
Cool.... oh I got the bullet yesterday - well, contract not extended past Dec 31st. They ran out on money this year.
Good news - could be back in March, **** ups notwithstanding...
so up to christmas and thats it for a while ? :(
at least you will get that time off that you so much wanted :)
exactly - but it depends on the certainlty of work in March - 3 onths off would be ideal :D
I have another opportunity in Russia too....(seriously)
does it appeal ?
mmm, startup company. They pick up "broken" projects around Europe. The pay would be less initally (but I was on a bit of a dream ticket here anyway), but the interest level would be excellent - dunno, need a break first!
Are you definately on for you next adventure? Told anyone yet?
Nothing is definate yet as I think a2a is still finalising things with the company. But it will be ncie if I do get to go over there :). No signs of them putting me full time yet so I'm still enjoying the good life of the contractor. Signed up with www.parasolit.co.uk and they are charging me 38 quid a month to do everything for me :)
