graphic problem

hi i make a game now and i try to fix problem i put sound :)
but my problem is picture its a rpg style game and my guy is an alien but he is in a white picture and when he are on the top of an other jpeg you see the white box and i dont want to
can someone help me please:mad: i dont know how:confused:

so you want all white to be drawn transparent?

i got 2 jpeg and one have white and the other is lot of colors and when the guy move the white move

um... if you just want transparent in your pics, attach them, tell me where you want transparency and I will do that for you, here is an example of a transparent pic:

or you could create a mask...
or you could use setpixel and skip all white pixels..

i dont have any answers but ive been wondering the same thing myself

i thnk i could figure out how to do it with setpixel id just have to read the picture and only ste the pixels that arent white to the other picture

but what is a Mask and how does it work??

Je comprend que tu es un Québecois français et que tu as quelques difficultés avec ton affichage graphique lorsque tu passes un image par dessus une autre. Il y a plusieurs informations sur internet pour t'aider je peux te donner quelques liens si c'est bien le problème auquel tu fais face.

You can't use JPG for transparency, BMPs or GIFs will work.

it was a long time ago since i used maskes, so i dont remember the best way to do it....

ok...i made a program that supports fully and half transparent sections...
pretty well commented, but if you dont understand something, just ask! :)

i almost found a way but we need a picturebox and my pic is too bigger
