Pixels to Twips

How do you convert pixels to twips?

pixel * screen.twipsperpixelsX or Y depending on wether you're using height or width pixels

What are twips used for anyway? just out of curiosity.

im not sure, but i think it is for measuring...they depend on the resolution...
