Difference JavaScript and JScript

Hello,

Can anybody please tell me the difference between JavaScript and JScript?

I know JScript is the JavaScript version of MS and JavaScript is created by Netscape, but what are the functional differences? What compatibility problems are there?

Recently MS has lost a law suit from Sun, MS cannot provide the MS JAVA Virtual Machine anymore. Windows XP does not have this machine when installed. Does Windows CE have this problem too?

JScript is MS's implementation of Javascript, based on standardized ECMAScript, but with extra, proprietary features.

FWIW, I'm convinced MS uses the same Jscript scripting engine to run Javascript, whether it occurs in IE or in ASP.
