Thanks for your help RealisticGraphics but no luck!
I tried your code in a doc with textboxes from
the control toolbox and the drawing toolbar but the
count was zero
I put your sub in the Private Sub Document_Open() sub
in my project and it didn't get called.
I then put it in new macros module of the normal project and called it from AutoOpen which called it but reported zero text fields
Do you know what I'm doing wrong?

Ok, let me ask a couple of things first...

1) What version of Word are you running? I'm in office 97, however the code should work in 2000 as well.

2) You are wanting to pull form fields from the Word document (as that is what this code does) or are you wanting to pull textboxes off of a VBA form that is contained within your document?

I just tested the code again and it still seems to work fine on my end. I use this code a lot so maybe I'm missunderstanding your question or you're in a different version maybe. Let me know. You can also e-mail me if you'd like at [email protected]
