Yes you can use it in xp. If you goto ...
1) start menu > run & type "MMC"
2) console menu > "add/remove snap-in"
3) hit the add button & choose "component services"
you have your standard com+ options screen you got with the windows NT option pack (Microsoft Transaction Server). It's updated a bit, but the principal stays the same - you can work with com+ dll's the way you would with NT.
