Calling Excel/Access Files in VB6

Hi

I am using 2 OLE controls in VB6 to link to two files (Access and Excel).

When I run the files when no-one else has them open, it works fine. BUT! If i then run it when another user has the file open, it errors with:-

System Error &H80004005(-2147467259)

Basically it seems to only work when the file is not being viewed.

Since I am very young to VB programming I would appreciate a little help! I have been to the microsoft site, used google etc but to no avail!
