VB.NET start >

Hi...I'm a newbie...sort of...
I am a student of the old VB 6.0
I just got a copy of .NET and installed it.
The installation went well...but now after getting
bits of code and getting the solution compiled...
my system hangs forever when i try to play/start
the app.
It says that it build fine...there were no errors compiling
...then it just sits there ..hourglass showing,waiting.
I think there is a problem with the version???
I am baffeled...with no one to help me.
Therefor...I come to VBForum.com ...taadahh!
Hopefully someone will see this and tell me
what the hell I am doing wrong???
I looked up a few sites..but can't quite find the
help I am looking for...anyone that has info would be appreciated

Look on the next couple of pages of articles in this forum, I remember someone posted about this problem under the subject ".net hangs?" or something close to that (couldn't find it with Search).

I often find that the first time i press the play button it hangs but if you then stop the process and try again it always works.

I get that too all the time! If you look in the 'Output' window when it hangs, you'll see that its not loading some of the assemblies that is loaded when it works properly!

Hitting Stop and Run again usually fixes it, but if not, you can step into your first line of code, then run your app like normal!
