Having some problems
Right now, my IE window doesn't maximize. If I try to maximize it, it sort of resizes vertically and horizontally but the horizontal high is about 3/4 (pretty much similar to how you can't maximize a Console window in Windows 2000). I have tried restarting my computer but still doesn't work. Also the font size on the buttons, combo boxes, radio buttons, etc in IE is bigger than usual (for example, vbforums.com have larger buttons with greater font size now). The main page of vbforums.com also doesn't display any table background colours. It's mostly white with black text on it. The icons' background colour on my desktop is also white and whenever I try to reset the colour to blue, it doesn't work. If I change the scheme, it works but then when I restart, it changes back to white.
Oh ya, the background colour the top menus on any window is also changing to blue when I move the mouse over it (it's not as default).
Any solution(s)?

some program probably decided to dock itself somewhere and restrict the usable desktop area.....
fiddle around with the windows taskbar size or restart

Ya guess so, but can't figure out what program did it. I haven't installed any program recently either.
This problem is only for IE related sh*t and it also includes my desktop icons' colour!!:(
I can use Mozilla instead of IE but this white colour on my desktop icons is really pissing me and Uncle Sam off!

One of my friends used to say that he had a problem with his computer having messed up colours and stuff so he wanted to reinstall his OS. I just used to laugh at him and say why can't you change your colour depth back and stuff. But now I'm right with it and have tried everything but no avail.

Start>Settings>Control Panel> Add/Remove Programs> Microsoft Internet Explorer
Choose to repair IE.

That piece of sh*t isn't even installed (that's what it says in Add/Remove Dialog Box) because this version is the one that came with Windows 2000. I then downloaded the latest version and also 5.5 but none of them fixed the problem. Now I installed Service Pack 3 for 2k and it still hasn't fixed this problem.
