Is there a way we can set up a system to where when a user recieves good help they can add to the helper's rating? I think that would encurage more people to post helpful posts (not that we don't have enough good programmers, etc).

I suggested something like ths once and pretty much got shot down faster than a duck during hunting season. :(
I discussed this with Yash 6 months ago. He said he was going to develop his own site and offer this service. Still waiting...Quote:

I don't think it'd work well on a remote site. There's really no way you can ensure that people weren't voting for themselves 50 times.Quote:

With VBForums, you have the validation through user name and password and all that good stuff.
Of course they could steal register many names to vote for themselves.
We should just have a monthly nomination, then voting process in chit chat or something. But that'd probably bomb out as well. :(
working on it ever since....Quote:

lol.. actually it would be software that'd allow people to find quick and effective help. It will have inbuilt tools like remote diagnostics, video streaming, audio streaming, remote access, etc
Every time someone helps someone else, he earns points which could be exchanged for software. It would also have a parallel out sourcing system allowing one to outsource some work and pay for it.

Maybe all those big words threw me off, but what does that have to do with a User Rating System on vbForums?

OrdinaryGuy : Is it close? ;)
