Trying to use ADO 2.7 in VB.NET

I am attempting to use ADO 2.7 in VB.Net to do a simple access database update. I am using all commands successfully except the addnew command. I am passing to arrays, a fieldlist and a value list as parameters to the function. I have attempted several other methods of passing variables yet to no avail. I always end up with the same error:
"Item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name or ordinal."

Any suggestions.

Oh, by the way did I mention that this is my first project in .net. I have been working in VB 6.0 for several years now.

I can successfully open the database, delete all records from a table, open the table, but cannot insert records.

You shouldnt be using ADO 2.7. You need to be using the ADO .NET classes.

Thanks Cander. I was afraid I would have to stray further from my comfort zone.

Although ADO.NET is now a much better choice when writing .NET based database applications, there is no reason why you cannot use ADO 2.7 (or previous) with VB.NET (or any other .NET language).

I have had that popular error pop-up many times in my development projects. It's usually due to a mis-spelt field name.

Yes there is a reason..its slower because o COM interop. Its not managed.
