Using shape to make master detail form without using dataenvironmet,works fine if there is records in master table.
But if there is no record in master it gives error.It gives error when we do

set datagrid1.datasource=rs.underliningvalud

Is it bug?if it is bug then any package for it?if not how to do?

Just trap the error, and you should be able to move on.

if I trap the error,I can insert into master but i cannot insert into detail because it won't create the detail recordset.
