TelCo + Modem
Yes, it depands on your Modem capability but it also depand on your local TelCo (Telephone Operator) have release the caller ID signal in your normal analog phone line or not.
If yes, then you can proceed to decode this signal with reference to your modem specification. Normally, this will do by sending an specified AT command to the modem. (Plz. chck with your modem specification).
The rest just as usual use access the COMM port.
E.g.
MSComm1.Output = "<Caller ID's AT Commnad>" & vbCr
