I had previously installed vb 5.0 learning edition, when i tryed to add the winsock controll i got "License information for this component not found. You do not have an appropriate license to use this functionality in the design environment." error message. I upgraded to vb 6.0 proffesional in hopes that this would remove the problem, unfortunatly it hasn't. Does anyone know how to fix this?

as far as I know you should now be able to use it, professional version is supposed to have the license agreement for it, but there is a patch for it on planet-source-code.com well there used to be as far as I know, I don't know if it works or not, I have enterprise edition and have never needed to use a crack for winsock, so go to http://www.planet-source-code.com and do a search for winsock patch, or contact microsoft about this problem you should be legally allowed to use it.
