I need to make a report in Access 97 that will only show one record not every record. It seems like this should be easy but it has been alot of trouble. My report requires 5 subreports and I think this is what is giving me trouble.
Does anyone have any idea what I could do??
Thanks
(The new site looks great!!)

only the first record?
Just one record? Is this the first record that matches your selection?

Why don't you use grouping either in your recordsource or within the report itself?
Not to clear on what you want please explain further.

Sorry I didn't explain it very well. I am making a database for emloyees. There are seperate tables for work history, education, outside experience, etc. I need to make a report that will only bring up one employee at a time. I made a report with the report wizard, and added several subreports to it but it gives me a report with all employees. I am new to making reports so I may be overcomplicating the whole thing.
Thanks

Found a solution!!
I did a search on the Microsoft Knowledge Base and found:
"How to print a single record from a form in a report".
If anyone else needs this info the article number is:
Q98801.
Thanks
