Html Music question
I have a client who wants the music they created and placed on a cd placed on their website. The extension to these files are .cda not sure why but is there a way I can change the extension to a midi wav or mp3 and then place it on the website so once the user clicks on a link then that speciefied song would start playing.

did you already ask this question?
if it is a cda then you have to convert it to mp3 or wav. can't just change the extension.

How can I change the file extension to mp3 or wav
-
He just said you can't; you have to record the audio track from the CD using some kind of audio app that lets you record off CD's and save in mp3 format (don't do wav, your users will quickly leave)
Try GoldWave. It lets you digitally extract the track from the CD at 40x speed or whatever your CD drive speed is rather than recording real-time
Forget the CDA, it's merely Windows' representation of a CD audio track, it means nothing and you can't do anything with it.

So once i change the file to a mp3 then will a user have to download the file to play it?

Yes, but usually the browser will open the default media player and start playing it
