Depends on what model of P4. If it's a P4 Willamette (determined by 256K of L2 cache) then it's going to be a lot slower than a P4 Northwood (512K of L2 cache). All 2.2s are Northwoods but some 1.8s are Williamettes.
Remember:
Williamette = no
Northwood = yes
Athlon XP = yes yes yes
Duals P3s are nice.
Dual AMDs are better. :D
