Hey y'all, I have a gift certificate at Barnes & Noble and was wondering if anyone had any book reccomendations. I already have Dan Appleman's VB Guide to the Win32 API.
I'm thinking I need to get some knowledge in SQL or data bases or something ... any suggestions?

"Database Access with Visual Basic 6" by Jeffrey P. McManus (SAMs Publishing) is a really good database book that I've got alot of use out of. It has some really good SQL information as well.
Another good book is "Pure Visual Basic" by Dan Fox (Also by SAMs publishing) is a great code reference book. It covers APIs, Algarithoms, String Manipulation, Databasing, Active X (across the board). It is a really great book and is one of the cheaper books by SAMs publishing. (About $25.00)
