I recently got an Abit AT7-MAX for my new PC, but I already had a cordless wheelmouse I intended to use with it. The motherboard is "legacy free" and has no PS2 ports, only USB ones. A friend told me that even if I got a PS2 to USB converter, the mouse still wouldn't work, because the motherboard is legacy free. Tell me this isn't true :) The mouse is kinda expensive on my low wage, and the Abit website doesn't mention anything, nor does the motherboard manual.

Abit AT7 huh...how'd you change out the back I/O Panel on your case? I have an Antec SX840 and I don't see how it's supposed to snap out/screw out.
I have a Chieftec Black Dragon.
The existing back plate was just held in with weak welds, like the blanking plates on empty drive bays. A few minutes with a hammer and a pair of pliers got it sorted. The new plate just snaps into place, and can't move at all once the motherboard is in.
