I may seem insane but your the one who's readint this.
MY GOODNESS I AM INSANE. I'M POSTING TO MYSELF.
Okay, somehow my message has vanished.......
anyway what i was trying to say:
i'm working on a point 'n click adventure/rpg. In this game you're a cop and you have to solve crimes by talking to people, solve puzzles, etc.
I havn't got much yet but there are good plans and the basics should work.
so everybody: interested? We're looking for help because this will be a pretty big game and you can't build something like this on your own.
it doesn't matter if you've got no or very little experience with game programming, if your keen to learn and want to help I'll teach you everything you need to know (well at least as much as i know)
Jordi
okay, some more details
Our first basic case is this: Someone has killed a person called Mr Williams by pushing him in front of an arriving train.... There are only two clues you start with: a black car with licenseplate number ZX-06-DG and the only witness of this murder: Mrs Kenwood. You then go to your notebook and access the police database in search of the owner of the car. This turns out to be Mr Anderson. You can arrange a meeting with Mr Anderson and question him about his murder (don't be too rude cause else he won't say anything).
so far this is all we've got: a basic idea with a working interface, a pretty good dialog designer and te dialog with Mr Anderson.
some of the first things we need are better graphics. Apart from that people who would like to create new cases, dialogs or anything else are also ver, very welcome!!
Sounds interesting. I'm in the middle of another project right now but maybe another time I could help out.
